Sahara

Has anyone been here lately. How are the rooms and pool area.

We just needed a cheap hotel. I know the area isn%26#39;t the greatest, but it%26#39;s only for one night.

Sahara

I havn%26#39;t stayed there for a few years now but some friends of mine were there in May and said it was fine.

Sure it ain%26#39;t Wynn or The Venetian but it%26#39;s good value, clean and for one night I could live with the location.

Sahara

What%26#39;s the casino playing conditions like there for either BJ or craps? Anything being offered that I can%26#39;t get somewhere else on the strip?

They had $3 bj tables when we were there at the end of March. A clean Holiday Inn type hotel. Loose slots I thought. We did gamble quite a bit there and it%26#39;s kinda funny we have not received any summer offers. I liked the 24 hr. cafe when I was starving at 2:30am too.

Didn%26#39;t check out the pool, too cool then.

It is a bit far N., but using the Deuce we got around easily.

Good luck.

I have never stayed at the Sahara, but I have played there and liked it! You get $10 free slot play when you sign up for a players card too.

You may also want to consider one of the downtown casinos for your ';one cheap night';. There are generally lower gaming limits and better rules for blackjack. There are also more casinos nearby ththan at the Sahara. The Sahara is walking distance to the Stratosphere in one direction and the Riviera in the other direction, downtown all the casinos very close together.

Many here will tell you the Golden Nugget is the best downtown casino. I don%26#39;t disagree, but I have never stayed there either. The only downtown place I%26#39;ve stayed is the El Cortez, in their remodeled tower rooms, and thought it was an absolute steal for $35/night over the weekend. Big room, nice and clean, no problems, and 2 (short) blocks off the fremont street experience.

We stayed at the Sahara a year and a half ago and it was fine. We aren%26#39;t big gamblers and each got offers in the mail for 2 free nights.

Love the feel of this hotle/casino.

Rooms were clean and fine for our use.

The monorail is right there so getting to center strip is easy.

Hope this helps.

Have fun %26amp; good luck !!

Its good value for what you pay. The only reason I choose not to stay there is because of its location. If that doesnt bother you and you%26#39;re looking for a really cheap place to stay on the strip, then you%26#39;ve found your place.

smoky, hillbilly place, too far from center strip

Try flamingo for better location and pool
