Room to ask for at the Flamingo

My wife and I wil be at the Flamingo in a few weeks (7/4-7/8). When we booked the rook on the hotel%26#39;s site, the only choice was smoking/nonsmoking, King or 2 Queens, etc. But I read here about upgrades one can ask for when you check in. What should we ask for in terms of a nicer room at the Flamingo? A certain tower or section, a certain view, etc.? Please advise. I%26#39;ve been many times to Vegas, but never to the Flamingo.

I would ask for a complimentary upgrade to the Presidential Suite, with the requisite $20 tip fully exposed.

We just stayed at the Flamingo for Memorial Day. When we checked in at the airport, my husband had a $20 bill in his hand and asked if any upgrades were available. The man said he could put us in a really nice room. He assured us the room he could put us in would be great-and it was!!!! Our view was of Bellagio and Caesars! Rm 21064. The $20 tip was worth it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
