Cab Fare from Red Rock Resort/Casino to Strip??

just travelled from red rock canyon back to Hilton LV and ride was 45 min. the resort was appox 10 min from red rock canyon. it would probaly be cheaper to rent a car. From Alamo we paid $22/day mid size and filled gas tank once in three days for $30

Cab Fare from Red Rock Resort/Casino to Strip??

tarynD: Thanks for the suggestion! I%26#39;ve been kicking the car rental idea around, but since hubby and I really enjoy our cocktails, I%26#39;m not sure that%26#39;s such a bright move on our part....definitely don%26#39;t need a DUI to ruin our good time... [b]

From where to RRR? From center strip around $35 one-way. About the same to DT.

I also suggest rethinking renting a car. My husband and I just got back and we rented one again- we never don%26#39;t rent. This time the rental was $93 for a Wed afternoon to a Sun afternoon- I ordered a compact but Dollar had none available when we got to lot so we got a Jeep Grand Cherokee for no additional money. NOT too bad!!

By the way- the $93 was total with all taxes and fees- the only thing I got extra-bought online thru Travelguard was collision damage waiver for $9 a day instead of the $15 a day the car rental company charges.

We did our drinking once we were back at the Monte Carlo for the evening- we love to drive to many different locations-and love the freedom of having a car at our disposal.

The Red Rock Casino is BEAUTIFUL by the way!!

Should you decide to rent a car just check back online after booking- I rebooked twice becasue the rate came down over $30 from my first booking.

ENJOY!! J

Thanks again for the replies! It definitely seems like renting a car is the way to go if I%26#39;m going to keep my reserevation at Red Rock! I%26#39;m still so undecided...at $35 one way for cab fare, it would seem to make more sense just to find a place on the strip for the difference! My only reason for picking RRR this trip is that hubby and I always say we want to see that area, but never seem to make it out of the casino to get there...thought this might be a good solution? Plus, I thought the pool would be less crowded at RRR than the hotels on the strip...decisions, decisions.....

FLChick,

I just got off the phone with Red Rock Casino, ';Brandy'; told me that Red Rock Casino offer a free shuttle for Hotel guest to and from the Fashion Show Mall every 2 hours.

If you want my personal opinion....rent a car!!!

Cheers

I had my first visit to Red Rock Station last week - gorgeous place - ate in their coffee shop - adequate - pricing fair, food fair

It%26#39;s far out, but I loved it - have you considered splitting your hotel nights while in Vegas? Lots of people do it - a few nights at Red Rock, a few on the strip? You could rent a car only while at red rock

have a ball!

Don%26#39;t do it. If you are going to spend the money to do that, you are better off staying near/on strip and definitely rent a car. I travel to Vegas from LA all the time, and will rent a car if staying off strip. It costs 30.00 typically just mid strip to downtown which is not that far(consider traffic time which will cost you) and mileage. Red Rock is about 20 miles from downtown. Get a cheap rental either in town or at airport (see travelworm for low cost rentals - some as low as 17/day depending on day of the week). We are breaking up our stay up. 2 nights at Red Rock and 1.5 days on the strip.
