My husband %26amp; I are going to Vegas (for the 1st time) for our Anniversary in mid July. I think I have it narrowed down to the Aladdin b/c of it%26#39;s proximity to the strip. How do I go about requesting an upgrade when I check in? Is this how it%26#39;s done?
Also, which is the best area to request for a view of the strip?
Any suggestions on affordable restaurants/ bars/ shows?
THANKS%26gt;
1st Time in Vegas -- Alladin???
Don%26#39;t want to put you off, but they are doing a lot of work in the Aladdin at the moment - turing it into a planet hollywood hotel kind of at the moment. their shops are excellent. Paris is next door which hasn%26#39;t got the work. Hope this helps!
1st Time in Vegas -- Alladin???
Check out my post today re the Aladdin. They are offering some good deals in July.
Not sure when they will be done but Alladin is pretty tore up right now ( I was there last week).
Shopping seemed to be OK but lots of work being done...
Lots of hotels that have priximity to the strip in that area...Bally%26#39;s Paris, if you don%26#39;t need a pool, Babray Coast is also in that area.
Slightly further down the strip the Monte Carlo is a nice place...
Purple Reign show at the Monte Carlo brew pub is a good show---free--most nightat 10:00 PM.
Big elvis in the afternoon 3:00 -6:00 is fun for a visit--free.
I just recently returned in April, from my stay at the Aladdin, and thought it was absolutely wonderful. Yes, they are transforming into Planet Holleywood Casino and Resort, and Me and my friend had no problem or even noticed the construction. The only sign of the transformation is the smaller casino and the check-in desk is has been moved from the lower level to the second floor.
Once we arrived at check-in, they offered us a upgrade at a higher price and I refused (since I knew we weren%26#39;t going to be sending much time in our room anyways) to my surprise.....the room was very nice and the view was of the casino across the street which was fine with us. (very nice actually).
I feel in love with this hotel for many reasons:
1. Center strip
2. Great customer service
3. Spice Market Buffet
4. Nice room and huge bathroom
5. Nice views
I hope this was of some help and have a great trip.
call 1-877-333-9474 [Aladdin] and mention promotion code CSUMM6 you may be able to midweek rate of $59.00....good luck
actually it is $79.00 not $59 .00 sorry about that.
Be very polite, relaxed, and smile when checking in. Mention that if an upgrade might be available, you would love to have it
Aladdin rooms and location are very nice. The only possible negative is how much construction
Just returned from Aladdin (5/29-6/3) and I agree with everything ToshaRae had to say...except #4...we were not impressed with the Spice Market buffet. We had a great trip!
#3, actually...
I booked 2 rooms and stayed at the Aladdin on May 28th and I didn%26#39;t even have to ask for an upgrade. The very nice gentleman upgraded us to resort rooms with fabulous views. It may have been that we were only staying one night or he may have been in a very good mood. Either way, the room was great, the beds very comfortable and the staff was wonderful. I believe my room number was 23174, beautiful view of the Eiffel Tower.
