Harrahs Rewards card

For the past 7 years my wife and I go to vegas in early May and stay a week to ten days.1 year ago we stayed at Paris for two weeks and had a card from them. This year we did not stay there but when we made an attempt to use the card we were told to exchange it for a Harrahs rewards card since they now own the hotel. No problem except you must use it within 6 months. I know you can go to any Harrahs property anywhere but due to our work (6 to 7 days a week) our only time in 233 days from today. Does anyone know if there is any flexibility in this our will we lose all our points? Does it make sense to just give the card to someone who would be going so we can extend the time frame or perhaps there may be an even better way? May is important to us as it is also our wedding anniversary. As usual and always thanks for your help.

Harrahs Rewards card

You have to have an ID to change the card. Are you anywhere near one of their ';boats';? You can have someone try to use it to keep it going, but you may get the msg to see the rewards desk.

Maybe someone will reply that has just been there. Has anyone try to use a CP or Paris card lately? DO you have to get a Harrah%26#39;s card now? I am going July 1 so I will try, but maybe someone will help. You can always email Paris.

Harrahs Rewards card

Outside of gambling at a Harrahs owned property somwhere around the country, the only other way to keep your points active would be to get there credit card and use it to build your comp balance. I know for most folks that isn%26#39;t a real option.

You could get someone to play on you card but since offers are based partly on your average point accumulation per day, that could hurt you more than help on the long run.

We have the Harrahs card. We, also, in the past had Bally%26#39;s, Paris, Flamingo, Grand (in MS), Horseshoe (MS), Sheraton (MS) and any other Harrahs properties. They have all been consolidated under one player%26#39;s ID number with the Harrah%26#39;s logo. You will need to convert any newly acquired Harrah%26#39;s property player%26#39;s card to the Harrahs card. If you have already done that, you may be able to get someone to play on your card at one of their properties. However, if he hits a handpay while playing with it, there will be complications. You can go to Harrahs website and input your players number and your pin # and see just what rewards you have earned. I think there is even a catalogue you can order from using your earned rewards. It takes 100 credits to equal $1.00. If you do not have a lot accumulated, I just wouldn%26#39;t worry about it.

In your case, the points are not worth the large expenditure of money for peanuts in return.

Harrahs has become very UPPITY since the consolidation.

Anyone who has a Harrahs card receives the newsletters.

The latest had a 4 month schedule of FREE rooms in JUNE%26lt; JULY %26lt;AUG%26lt; SEPT., regardless of points earned.

If you shop around, you will find all kinds of good deals, not requiring expenditure of funds for a low price.

Try the ORLEANS. Get the COAST CARD for slots and a PIT CARD

for table games.

When did you get that calendar for days? I haven%26#39;t gotten it yet and I want to know what I%26#39;m looking at for room prices in August.

The Harrahs World magazines don%26#39;t automatically go to every customer. If you do get one, there are usually room offers in there but they are based on your own play. You may get free nights where your friend may get casino rate.

You can aways bet on winner to not to know what he%26#39;s talking about.

Nuggetbrain, I got the mailer for my reward%26#39;s card, about a month and a half ago, for free nights any month thru July (no August on mine). I have so far racked up a whopping $19 in comps BTW.

I have an MBNA Visa Harrahs credit card. It adds reward (not tier) points to my account. If you use the card within 6 months, it will keep your account open even if you don%26#39;t play anywhere in 6 months.

I have been waiting 5 months now for my cash back from Caesars. Harrahs was originally supposed to send a check. I found that some people received vouchers from Harrahs that had to be cashed in Vegas. I did sign up for a Rewards Card.

Apparantly Harrahs thought I did not deserve the few bucks they owed. and this business of giving vouchers is baloney. They know

75% of the vouchers will never be redeemed.

Sounds like harrahs is run by a bunch of bean counters. Be cautious.

  • question about caesars palace

does anyone know if there would be a charge for a fridge at caesar%26#39;s palace, just for water, drinks etc.

    question about caesars palace

Have stayed at Caesars several times, but never requested fridge. Be careful of the one in the room with the concessions for sale. If you remove one, you get charged immediately for it and they are expensive. I%26#39;ve seen on this board that many people go to the local drug store on the strip and pick up a styrofoam ice chest for a couple of dollars and keep it filled with ice from the hotel ice maker. Not a direct answer to your question, I know, but thought I share the suggestion.

    question about caesars palace

We stay there often and CP does not offer a fridge. It competes with their refreshments in the rooms. You can go next door @ CVS and get a cooler for the room.

manys thanks, been a great help.

It is an easy walk across a foot bridge.

easiest way to get to treasure island from venetian ??

Even with the footbridge, with mystere at the back of the TI, give yourself a good 15 minutes to walk.

No problem, just walk across the foot bridge. The theater is in the south end of the TI. Go in the entrance and turn left.

We might want to do karaoke, where do you recommend?

I know at IP they have it, is that good and do they have a big selection of songs?

    Karaoke

I am wondering the same thing..

    Karaoke

    bump

Go to Ellis Island for Karaoke.

    http://www.ellisislandcasino.com/Karaoke.htm

We went to Ellis Island to eat at the BBQ place and ended up staying for the karaoke in the bar for about an hour- great fun! The host/saxophonist guy is hilarious! He did an Elton John song and I swear he really did think he was Elton John performing in front of thousands. There was a good mix of locals/regulars and tourists getting up on stage.

So Ellis Island is better than IP? I was thinking IP might be better, on the strip.

I think they have karaoke at the House of Blues on Mondays. Anyone know anything about this? Amy

tj at harrahs piano bar 7-9pm, is one you may want to check out,.

the piano twns start after 9pm

i.p. seems to go to 3am and can get many who really like to drink.

Anyone know how it is at Imperial Palace??

I%26#39;ve been to karaoke at Barbary Coast, and saw some pretty good singing there, too I might add. It was a blast, saw a young twenty something kid with tattoos and peircings all over get up, expected to hear some heavy metal and he came out with a respectable imitation of Dean Martin... he was darn GOOD!

You just never know, do you? And here I am with a 21 year old peirced and tattooed son of my own, telling him, ';Be original, express yourself'; and there I was catagorizing that other kid... shame on me!

Barbary Coast is great for karaoke (see their website for which night they do it), and I will say the place that is only karaoke in front of IP is crowded and you may have some long waits to get up there to sing. Like any karaoke, be patient.

    Harrah's HOTDEAL Rates

Just got an email promoting ';Hot Summer Deals at Harrah%26#39;s Las Vegas!'; Deal Code = HOTDEAL.

Checked their calendar for the days I needed and gave it a shot. Thursday 7/6 was $39.00, and Friday 7/7 was just $59 (even though their rate calendar had Friday showing at $119). Total for both nights in a ';deluxe'; room was $98 plus taxes -- booked it quick before it changed on me. This sure beats the deal I had at the Gold Coast of $47/Thurs and $80/Fri, and now I%26#39;m on the strip.

My countdown has begun... T-minus 31 days...

    Harrah's HOTDEAL Rates

Thanks, I am trying to find something really really cheap, this might help.

Ever stay there before? If so, how are the rooms?

    Harrah's HOTDEAL Rates

Nice deal. Nothing wrong with Gold Coast for a low budget trip but Harrah%26#39;s is a real step up. Have a great trip.

Have never stayed at Harrah%26#39;s but my brother and father have and had no complaints. This is my annual low-budget trip to Vegas so I was looking for a decent place to crash and shower. Last year I was at the Orleans, but got a good deal at the Gold Coast this summer -- that is, until I received the email from Harrah%26#39;s. I don%26#39;t plan to spend much time in the room, but I do like the fact that I%26#39;m on the strip and close to my favorite gambling spot, Casino Royale. I doubt I%26#39;ll find a better deal, especially for my Friday night stay.

Vegas Passport, Power Pass, or nothing?

Through my travel agent, they are offering a ';Vegas Passport'; that gives exclusive access to nightclubs, VIP no wait lines, and drink specials and a ';Power Pass Las Vegas'; which gives admission fee and restaurant discounts. Does anyone have info on either of these? Are they worth it? Or can I get them when I get there?

The biggest problem I have with these types of things is that I do not know what specifics are offered. Anyone have examples?

Vegas Passport, Power Pass, or nothing?

';Through my travel agent...'; is always a good guide to a rip-off!

In saying that, I%26#39;ve used these kind of things in San Francisco and Chicago and they were really good. I looked at the Vegas powerpass and it doesn%26#39;t seem up to much at all.

You get free entry to all of the attractions below for a number of days 1,2,3 or 5 I think. I%26#39;ve been to 4 on the list (all of which were bad to mediocre) and I wouldn%26#39;t go to three quarters of these. Depends on your taste and whether you%26#39;re willing to travel to see them.

  • Bellagio Pool Query

Staying late september on a sunday and monday - whats the pool situation like? do I have to get up REALLY early and get a lounger, or can I just get one anytime?

    Thanks

    Bellagio Pool Query

We%26#39;re staying there next month, and I%26#39;ll let you know when I get back. However, one of the biggest reasons I chose Bellagio over Mirage was because of the pool situation. I%26#39;ve never read on here that you have to get up early to find a lounger at Bellagio. Sounds like a nightmare over at Mirage tho. I%26#39;ve asked this question myself, and got a lot of answers saying it is never difficult to get a lounger at B.

    Bellagio Pool Query

thanks for your help, and I look forward to hearing how you got on.

    Thanks

The B does not have the ';saving chairs'; syndrome. You can find chairs at all times.

You%26#39;re going to LOVE the pool at Bellagio, and I didn%26#39;t experience a problem with saving chairs when we were there (unlike Flamingo, which was annoying, you%26#39;d get out there early early--I think 7:30 or so is early--and no chairs, all already saved).

    Have fun!

What is the general view of moving someones stuff off a lounger - which had not been used for say 90 mins?

I did it once at a pool in Palm Springs - the person never said anything when they did come back 2-3 hours after I moved their stuff.

I don%26#39;t just throw it - I fold towels, keep magazines, etc tidy - and put them in a pile beside the lounger.

How would you react if someone did it to you?

We were there last September (Mon 12th-Fri 16th) and never had a problem with getting loungers.

    You will love it! :o)

    Barbie

sj, you won%26#39;t have a problem, just ask a pool attendant and he will get you lounges and an umbrella if you want one. Don%26#39;t forget his tip.

    K,

No way I would wait for 1.5 hours to take a chair that had a towel on it. I am amazed by how many people think that they can%26#39;t use a chair because someone got up early, threw a towel on a chair, then left. Take any chair you want that does not have someone in it. You can judge when someone is actually using a chair but just jumped in the pool. There is actually something of value on or around the chair, not just a newspaper. We have stayed at Mirage and Bellagio many times, the problem is far worse at Mirage for whatever reason.
