Trip Report 5/28-6/2

7th trip in 6 years with another booked for the fall! Stayed at TI due to great room offer (3 free nights which turned into 5 free nights). Flew out of Manchester on Sun. morning. Arrived early - went right to rental car and onto TI. Check-in line moved along and our room was ready at 11:00. Gambled a little, had drinks %26amp; nachos @ Isla, then went to room to rest up since we had been up since 3:00 a.m. and had tickets for Kevin James @ Mirage at 9;00 which was midnight our time. Had dinner at Carnegie Deli in Mirage and then saw the show. He was funny %26amp; so was the opening comedian. Good start to the vacation. Next day, memorial day, rented a cabana at the pool and spent better part of the day relaxing, eating, drinking, listening to music, etc. Dinner @ Mon Ami Gabi. We love it there. Tuesday visited the Wynn, Venetian (donating $$ everywhere I went), dinner at Margaritaville....fun %26amp; cheap. Won a bit at Bellagio after dinner. Only good night of gambling for me. Drove to Red Rock (the loonng way) on Wed. Beautiful spot, but not near anything..still prefer the strip. Didn%26#39;t win anything there, either. This was not a profitable trip. Dinner at The Steakhouse @ TI. Wonderful food...very enjoyable. Thursday walked to Mirage, Caesars, shopped at Fashion Show Mall....drinks %26amp; apps @ Kahunaville @ TI %26amp; dinner @ Francesco%26#39;s @TI. Another nice meal.

Friday we went to Mandalay Bay for some last day slots, had a nice lunch at Raffles, and then to the airport for 4:00 flight. When we go back in the fall, we%26#39;re booked at Bellagio (our favorite) but if some good deals come thru, we will rebook elsewhere. Would like to see the Beatles show @ Mirage and Phantom @ Venetian.

We were there at the same time, wasn%26#39;t it hot !! Sounds like you had a lot of fun. Your money is in good company with ours, can%26#39;t wait to go back and visit it. Thanks for the trip report.

Trip Report 5/28-6/2

Great trip report!

Good TR! Sounds like you had a great time...minus all the losing! It%26#39;s funny that your only good night was at Bellagio. From everything I read on here, that%26#39;s not really the place you wanna go to win $$, unless you%26#39;re a high roller? Maybe I misunderstood. What did you win on there....slots or tables? We%26#39;re staying there in July, and wasn%26#39;t planning on doing much gambling there. If slots, what did you find that was good?

Tipsie - I tend to be a traditionalist and stick to reel slots...$1 and $.25. I try other slots, but always go back to Double Diamond. I just like it. Sometimes Triple Diamond %26amp; Wild Cherry. I play the new video slots, but know what I%26#39;m doing. They%26#39;re fun for a change of pace. Forgot to mention that on Thursday, about 5:30 pm, we went to Mix for a drink on the 64th flr of TheHotel @ Mandalay Bay. The view was outstanding.

I like the Double Diamonds too! What the heck, I%26#39;ll give them a try at Bellagio while I%26#39;m there. Hopefully, I%26#39;ll do well. Always looking for that BIG win!

At the Bellagio last October, I got the Double Diamond jackpot on a $1.00, 2 coin machine. $1600. And 4 years ago, I got the same on a 3-quarter DD machine at TI for $625.00. I guess that explains why I%26#39;m partial to them. But I also play them far more than I do any other machine.

Nice trip report! Can hardly wait %26#39;til I have one to post. Looks like it will happen in October! Yeah! I like the Double Diamond machines, also, and play them when not playing the video games. Glad you had a good trip. To me the winning and the losing are incidental to the trip itself. Expect to lose and grateful when I win.
