Is it the moment you step off the plane in McCarran, and that feeling of being THERE? Is it pulling up to your hotel, stepping out and smelling, hearing and seeing all that is uniquely Vegas? Is it the calm before the storm when you get to your room? Is it the tingle of anticipation as you head out from your room for the first time? Is it the first roll of the dice? Is it the first umbrella drink by the pool?
What is it to you that just ignites you and makes you glow all over on your Vegas trip?
What's the most spine-tingling moment in any Vegas trip?
Wow, I have only been there once, but, I feel tingly remembering ALL of the things you just wrote.
What a great post, I can%26#39;t wait to read others posts.
I know for me, when I saw the strip flying in, everyone around me, must%26#39;ve known I was a Vegas Virgin, I think I was so excited I got tears in my eyes.
Now, does that sound like a well adjusted person heading on their honeymoon?
I think not!
However, I can%26#39;t wait for that feeling again, just had to cancel our second trip which was planned for May 28 - June 02 due to work -- trying not to think about it too much! :(
What's the most spine-tingling moment in any Vegas trip?
When I step out of the cab and into the hotel lobby.
When I pass by the sign attendant and she says, ';Welcome back, I%26#39;ve missed you.';
I%26#39;m torn between four moments.
When I can see the strip from the plane windows and get to watch as it gets bigger and more real. For me this usually happens at night, which I think steps the visual experience up a notch.
My first win, which can be trumped by my biggest win if I have especially good luck.
Seeing the fountain show for the first time at night.
Stepping into my hotel for the first time and having the familiar sounds and sights of a Vegas casino wash over me.
Thanks for the fun question!
Thank YOU all!! I%26#39;m at 40 days and counting, and this is my therapy. Keep it coming, doctors!
Since im a little nervous to fly, its when that plane lands down and we start cruising to the terminal. I get HYPED!!!!!!!!!!
If you fly in at night, most pilots (if possible) will cruise over the strip getting as close to the tops of the hotels as possible while landing. It is a fantastic view and totally gets the blood pumping!
I too have only been there once, but I must say I was torn too.....from the first moment that you can see the strip to the moment you step of the plane, to going to your room, to getting that first drink..........It ALL excites me.
Oh, I%26#39;m changing my answer:
It%26#39;s when I%26#39;m on a hot roll at the craps table and the dealer is pushing stacks of chips my way.
Baggage claim !!
seriously though ......
The most evocative memory from my first trip is walking out from Caesars and seeing the strip for the first time at night .... spine tingling doesnt quite cut it !!
