Last time I was in Vegas - 3 years ago - I played the 25c blackjack machines - and always got enough ';free'; drinks to keep me going ;-) when I played in Luxor and Paris.
I am not a gambler at all - and not willing to play $10 a hand - but enjoy pumping $10-$20 a night into the blackjack machines.
Do these 25c machines still exisit?
Which of the strip casinos is best for ';free'; drinks - I found if you gave the waitress $2 for my wife and my drink - they always came back quickly enough. Is that still enough?
25c Blackjack Machines - do they still exisit? You can still play video BJ for a quarter...
Just look for the ';game king'; or ';multi-play'; machines that have several different gaming programs loaded on them. Most allow you to pick the denomination of play from $.25 to $5.
They are fewer than in years past, but there are plenty of them; and can still be found in some bar tops....even in a few places on the Strip.
You can find some for as low as $.05 Downtown.
Yes, a buck a drink is still the standard (if minimum) tip for your friendly cocktail waitresses...as it has been for a quarter century. You would think by now folks would be tipping more, inflation and all...
Everybody has their own opinions as to what is the best Strip place for comped drinks while playing machines....Sahara, TI and Excalibur seem to consistenly kick them out.
But, its more a question of timing (less busy means better service), location (be in a high traffic area near the service bar, not in some back corner), and the professionalism of the waitress.
When looking to get max libations, playing a game on a bar top is your best bet.
25c Blackjack Machines - do they still exisit? We played video BJ in April . . . mostly at MGM and a bit at NYNY. MGM had a bank of machines (strictly BJ--liked those better) straight south of the Zuri Lounge.
Have fun . . . can%26#39;t find video BJ in the midwest :(
