Some quick questions before we go on Sunday:
1. I keep reading about champagne flights and bottle service 鈥?what are these? Not something I鈥檝e come across in the UK!
2. Do the hotels (Venetian and Wynn) provide towels poolside?
3. Is it possible to pre-book a taxi pick up from a hotel or do you just have to stand in line? E.g. for when we go to Rosemary鈥檚 for dinner.
4. Is it possible to pre-book a table at Wynn%26#39;s Parasol Down Bar?
Thanks all 鈥?3 more work days to go!!!!
Last minute questions....
The Wynn provides towels poolside. As for booking a taxi, the concierge may be able to provide information about that. The pick-up and drop-off area for the taxis is a bit tight, but we never saw long lines of people or taxis waiting to depart. Regarding the Parasol Down Bar, I suggest you stop by there when you arrive and check with the service staff.
Last minute questions....
Lets see if this helps:
The flights are mainly charter flights.
Both offer towels @ the pool. Will not let you take hotrl towels.
T
here really is no line to go from Hotel to airport. You can have a limo for $35 US.
Yes you can make reservations in advance. If you have a casino host, they will be happy to arrange. If you do not have a host and you will play a good portion @ the hotel call and ask for the hosts and ask questions. They are always helpful.
If you order a champagne flight you%26#39;ll receive 3-4 glasses with a small amount of 3-4 different champagnes for tasting, You%26#39;ll also find places offering other types of wine flights. It%26#39;s a nice way to try a variety of different wines.
Bottle service is for clubs and involves paying a few hundred dollars for a bottle of alcohol, a table and mixers. You also get immediate entry to the club, by-passing those standing in line to pay to get in.
Hotels do offer towels poolside.
I%26#39;m not sure about pre-booking taxis. I always rent a car.
I don%26#39;t know if you can book a table at Parasol Down. The few times I%26#39;ve had a drink there I didn%26#39;t have to wait more than a couple of minutes to get a table.
Have a great time!
Thanks so much for the answers - thinks that%26#39;s me all sorted now....just the packing!
Thanks to all for the many tips and trip reports that have helped me to plan and arrange this holiday - will post a report when I get back!
If the taxi cab is exceedingly long, $20 to the red cap will get you the next available cab.
Pretty funny questions...
1. These are charter flights and I am assuming you are reffering to bottle service at a bar, which is when you purchase a bottle of Vodka, gin etc and that secures your reserved table usually at the cost of about $300.
2 Do the Venetian and Wynn provide towels poolside...Hmmm. Well, they are 4 or 5 diamond properties...So that%26#39;s a pretty silly question.
3. NO. Unless it%26#39;s a Limo or private car.
4. I don%26#39;t know.
Please excuse the sarcasm regarding question 2. . But when you get to the Wynn or the Venetians pool areas, you%26#39;ll understand.
3. If you come across a cab driver you like, ask for his card and you can call him/her to service you directly. That%26#39;s as close as you can get to reservations.
Thanks for the tip Leo21 - will do that.
As for the questions - they are neither funny nor silly for someone who is not from the US.
Here in the UK, pool towels cannot be taken for granted at even top class hotels and as I%26#39;m not there yet and can%26#39;t see for myself it%26#39;s best to ask as by the time I am there it%26#39;ll be too late to have packed pool towels if they%26#39;re not provided. I now know so thank you.
As for flights......BigVegasFan got this one right - thanks for that! I was referring to champagne flights as advertised as being available at bars such as Napolean in Paris - not those available from Expedia. As I explained neither this nor bottle service is something I have ever heard of before.
