LV to Zion...good 1 day trip?

Wife is not crazy about vegas, so I last year was GC this year Zion. Is it a doable one day trip? leave eaerly come back late but stay in VEgas......thanks

Hi - Stayed in Zion for 2 nights last June - what a great place scenery our of this world - plan to return this June for day trip from Vegas with an early start and late return to Vegas -hotel at South end of strip- will probably need to chill out around pool next day - no seriously- drive probably will take around 3 hrs depending on traffic but definitely doable in the day with your foot down and well worth the effort .At Zion parking at visitors centre in town of Springdale, very well organized free shuttle bus service into canyon stopping at various stops along the way with vantage points with a get on get off basis in an all round trip, also plenty of nice eateries in Springdale, Hope this helps.

LV to Zion...good 1 day trip?

I have done it abot three times - the last time about three weeks ago. It%26#39;s no problem. On the way up, you can make a pitstop in Mesquite at the Casa Blanca. A short respite with good slots.

Like the Grand Canyon, I think Zion is worth more than a quick day trip. But sure, it%26#39;s doable, certainly much closer than the Grand Canyon was for you on your last trip.
