28 days and counting...let's start packing

Any packing tips would be appreciated.

My hubby and I will be in Vegas for 4 full days. We have reservations at TOW restaurant and tickets to La Femme. I also have a short and long list of things to do, including things such as Gun store adventure, indoor skydiving, roller coasters, Coyote Ugly bar, CC steakhouse, gambling, couples massages, etc...

Here%26#39;s my packing list so far:

bathing suits

tank tops

shorts

comfy shoes

slippers

bathroom essentials

one nice outfit for anniversary dinner

one sweatshirt and sweatpant outfit

2 pillow cases and some sanitizing wipes

camera

maps of the strip and downtown (Since we are renting a car)

rental car confirmation

credit card/cash and ID

Help me! What else do you always bring to vegas with you??

28 days and counting...let's start packing

curious we are there the 25th to the 2nd. Our yearly trip. Very good list. We are renting a car also..only way to go. If you can say no...hotelcorp has good offers if you listen to their pitch.

28 days and counting...let's start packing

For me, if it is an early flight, I would back the night before.....and if it%26#39;s a late flight, I%26#39;ll pack the same day.

As long as you got your passport, and your air ticket (if it is NOT ticketless), and your money, credit card, bank card, and prescription medication. Whatever you forgot to pack, a good chance that the item wasn%26#39;t REALLY important, cause you forgot it.....if it is something that you must have....just buy one when you get to LV.

With that being said, looking at your list, you don%26#39;t have ';sun blocker';.....also bring a pair of sunglasses, the driver might need them.....this is FAR fetch....but if your DH have driving gloves, bring those too.....if you park your car outside in the sun, the steering wheel will be impossible to touch....but the odds of parking in the sun is very LOW, cause most hotels have parking garage.

With cash wise, make sure before leaving you have about 10 single one dollar bills for tipping.

Have fun....by the time you%26#39;re coming home, I%26#39;ll be arriving. :)

Curiosity,

Sounds like a good list, but don%26#39;t forget SUNSCREEN AND CHAPSTICK! It is in the 100%26#39;s now, don%26#39;t want to get burnt up! Oh, and some band-aids, just in case you get those famous Vegas blisters.

28 days for us too......don%26#39;t forget sunglasses.

Thanks for the info. See I%26#39;m already forgetting some things.

I%26#39;ll be adding to the list:

chapstick

sunblocker

sunglasses

Oh yeah, also adding to the list:

one dollar bills

bandaids

Hey, Warehouserat,

Where would I find hotelcorp?? What kind of freebies do they offer up. I wouldn%26#39;t want to waste anytime with them unless the price was right.

Curiiositykilldthecat,

Didn%26#39;t noticed...you mentioned ';band-aids';....you should make a ';small'; emergency pack....with Imodium, Tums (Rolaids), some Tylenol, things like that. 鈥?.There is a CVS, Walgreen on the strip鈥?.but some of these items when you need it, you need it NOW, it鈥檚 kind of hard to walk to the closes Rx if you have an upset stomach

If you%26#39;re bringing a cell phone, don%26#39;t forget your charger. I also bring a smaller purse to carry or sling around my shoulder and leave my regular purse locked up in my suitcase. I prefer a lighter %26#39;load%26#39; while gambling or walking around.

My husband always brings a baseball cap - sticks on the morning to run down to get me coffee -( in case he wakes up with %26#39;bed head%26#39;). I%26#39;d also bring the kind of sweatshirt that you zips (not pullover) so you can tie around your waist. I am always taking mine off, then putting on.

I would skip the sweatshirt and sweatpants--not necessary at this time of year. In case it feels chilly in the casinos, maybe a lightweight sweater instead, that doesn%26#39;t take up much room in the suitcase.

Instead of Bandaids, I like to take some of that liquid bandage if any blisters develop. It stays on better/longer and is waterproof, and heals faster too. The most important thing is to bring your already-broken-in shoes.

The ballcap and sunscreen are great ideas, always bring those. And if you%26#39;ve been to Vegas before, bring your casino (slot) cards.

Seems we always end up at Walgreens, or CVS, for one thing or another on every trip. We seldom rent a car and those stores are convenient for picking up miscellaneous things.

Don%26#39;t forget underwear!! :)

Seriously, how about things that are much cheaper at home, like cigarettes if you smoke, a small coffeepot with coffee, etc, so you don%26#39;t have to go down through the casino to get that morning cup of coffee, your social security card in case you win a big jackpot, i heard they won%26#39;t pay you if you can%26#39;t prove your SS#. (Is this true anyone??), and I always bring a can of Lysol when I stay in a hotel. I guess I%26#39;ve watched too many CSI type shows! :) Good luck!
