Pabrump Valley Vineyards

My husband and I are looking at different area activities. I came across a listing for The Pabrump Valley Vineyards and was wondering if anyone here had gone? If so, is it worth it? I did a quick forum search and no hits, so if anyone has any personal experience please share. Thanks!

Pabrump Valley Vineyards

Absolutely, yes, if anyone has any feedback on this, please share. We love visiting wineries!!!

Pabrump Valley Vineyards

My fiancee and I visit every trip to Vegas. Try the Desert Blush, absolutely wonderful.

Symphony is nice as is Peak White. The Burgundy and Sherry are nice as well.

Hope this helps:)

Gee....you learn something new every day in this forum. For all this time, I thought Pahrump was known for one thing only----and it sure had nothing to do with wine. :-)

There was an article in the paper about this awhile back. They made it sound like it was worth the trip!

Hi Perfect_Plants--Thanks for the info. Do you happen to know how dog friendly they are. We have two (well behaved, small, can hold the whole time if necessary) chihuahuas. We would like to bring them if the facilities are dog friendly. I know I can call and get the %26#39;official%26#39; answer but sometimes first hand knowledge is more practical.

Vegasjohn--ha!

VegasLongLegs--thanks!

Anyone else that may have input, please let me know. If we do go, I will, of course, post a TR about it.

The grounds are beautiful. There is wine tastings all day. From what we were told, thier ';Symphony'; has won numerous awards. I enjoy it.

The ';Peak White'; is odd, but truely an experiance. It starts with a fruity bouquet, then a bit of a ';Chablis'; like flavor, to finish with wonderful berry overtones. Really a wine to try.

My fiancee is fond of the ';Dessert Blush';. Really nice, full flavored rose. Litely sweet and fruity. Fun with Cheese, fruits, and smoked meats.

The Burgundy is fantastic.

The Sherry is a very sweet desert wine.

After buying two cases, and shipping them home. Had future Mom in Law bring back three more cases.

Down to last bottle of Dessert Blush, Two remaining bottles of Peak White, Two of Synphony, and no Burgundy left.

Thankfully we will restock in 19 days:)

After the winery, head on over to Terribles Lakeside for some playing, maybe a buffet.

Nice ride by the way. Check out Cactus Joe%26#39;s on Blue Diamond Highway if you have a few minutes, and check out Red Rocks Canyon as well:)

Anybody know how far the vineyard is from L.V.?

PlantsPlus--Thanks for the additional info. Looks like we will try to visit. My in-laws like in Vegas now, so if I really love anything, I will have them re-stock!

YoungBrother--Here is where I got the info: www.vegas4locals.com/freepahrumpwinetour.html

Pahrump Valley Vineyards, ';The Winery in the Desert';, is located

approximately 61 miles Southwest of Las Vegas, and offers free daily tours

from 10:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

From Las Vegas, drive south on I-15 and take the Blue Diamond Road off

ramp. Take Nevada 160 west, 61 miles over the Spring Mountains and into

the Pahrump Valley. Go right on Winery Road, the winery is another quarter

of a mile on the left.

Hope that helpsand, please, if anyone else has info, share!

Here%26#39;s a ';Special'; for that someone in your life:)

We purchased two cases of wine to add to our collection. I decided since Debbie was so fond of Dessert Blush, I purchased an additional bottle without her knowing.

I hid it, chilled it and then the following evening I decided we would enjoy a sunset at Red Rocks.

Stopped by a local grocery store for some cheese%26#39;s, smoked meats, fresh fruit.

Up to the overlook (This is Illegal).

As the sun was about a half an hour from setting, I pulled the treats from the cooler, uncorked the wine, pouring two crystal glasses with a ';Flavor';.

Sliced the fruits, cheese%26#39;s and meats for finger foods.

We sat, her in my arms, belly full, sipping a glass of wine, and enjoyed a wonderful display as the light of the sunset played against the cliffs, outcroppings and terrain around us.

To this day, this is my fiancee%26#39;s (Debbie) favorite time spent in LV.

Less than $100 spent, but a lifetime of memories:)

Bump for anyone else that might be able to add info!
