My husband and i have been to las vegas several times in the past few years. generally, we have stayed in the less expensive hotels and enjoyed some of the cheaper entertainment the city has to offer. this year, we would like to experience a little more ';upscale'; las vegas. we are staying at The Wynn hotel and casino.
along those lines, wondering if anyone has any suggestions for:
1. places to eat (keep in mind, we are not rich, but we wouldnt mind spending a little extra on this trip)
2. the best show in town (probably can only see one...not looking for a comedy show )
3. has anyone been to the wynn spa? what is the best treatment they offer?
thanks for your help

Depending on what you want to spend on food - Rosemary%26#39;s is lovely and not as expensive as the strip restaurants. Food is wonderful just remember the location is about 15 minutes from the strip in a strip mall. Once you get insides, however, you don%26#39;t care what%26#39;s outside.
Commander%26#39;s Palace for lunch. Pretty restaurant, delicious food, reasonable prices and of course, the 25 cent martinis.
Have also eaten at Delmonico and Michael Mina (very expensive) and both are delicious.
We loved O but many people like Mystere better.
The Wynn is lovely. Haven%26#39;t stayed there but have visited a few times. Some very good restaurants there. Try Daniel Bouloud%26#39;s restaurant. He has one in New York too.
If you give us an idea of what you want to spend on food, we will be able to give you some advice on upscale restaurants.

For dinner.... i was looking for a nice place to get a meal for two with drinks for approximately $150 or less. this is what i had in mind.
thanks
also, any other ';must do'; activities anyone would suggest for a fancier weekend? we will be there a total of 4 days. we will not have a car. plan to get cabs when necessary.
I at ate Bouloud last week and it was wonderful.
I also saw Le Reve at Wynn and it is one of the two best shows I%26#39;ve ever seen. The other was Mystere.
Bouchon is also very good. The Grand Lux isn%26#39;t as expensive but it%26#39;s one of my favorite places to eat in Vegas.
Have a great vacation!
why not try sw steakhouse at wynn ? you can see the short ok fshow from sw.
SW Steakhouse would probably cost them about $125-$200 per person with drinks/wine etc.
Try Mon Ami Gabi, it is a TA favorite and won%26#39;t break the bank.
Royal Star at the venetian is a very classy place. Asian. At lunch it is dim sum. we are not big eaters. $70 for dinner. http://www.venetian.com/dining/royal_star.cfm
Mesa Grill at ceasers was also good. Bobby Flay%26#39;s place. $80 for 2 of us. http://www.mesagrill.com/
Rosemary%26#39;s would fit your budget and we loved Mesa and maybe Bobby will blow through!
Or you could always go to Ellis Island for their steak.... (just saving staunchsteve the trouble...)
;)
My wife and I got back from Vegas this past weekend and ate at these places:
1. Burger Bar - Mandalay Place (low key, good burger)
2. Rosemary%26#39;s - good restaurant with different choices and a lot of variety. However, it is a good drive off the strip on Sahara
3. The MIX at THEHotel - delicious French/American food with a view to die for from the top of the hotel.
4. Sushi Roku in Caesar%26#39;s Forum%26#39;s shops - great Japanese food/sushi will another great view of the strip, espeically at night.
5. Wynn buffet - to be honest this was the most disappointing dining experience of the trip. The food was good, but restaurant%26#39;s were better.
6. Verandah%26#39;s Weekend breakfast buffet at the Four Seasons - delicious breakfast buffer, not crowded sat outside by the pool of the Four Seasons, a great meal to end our stay.
Just for you info, also the Four Seasons Las Vegas Hotel was the best.
I ate at the Veranda last week too. It was fabulous.
