Anyone know of a website I can prebook a pleasure boat on Lake Mead? Or has anyone ever done this? Is it posible to turn up on the day and get one?

Google Lake Mead Marinas for info on some close to Las Vegas. We rented a boat from one of the marinas in August of 2003, we went the in the morning and got one that same day. I think it was Calville Bay or something like that. It was an awesome experience. It was under 200.00 for 3 hours and that was plenty of time. I highly recommend doing this. We are not boaters and had no problem with getting around. We drove up as far as you could to the dam and got some spectacular pics. Good luck!

My sister lives in Veags and we try and do different things other than the strip and casinos. Last year we rented a boat on the lake and it was one of the best times that I have ever had in Las Vegas. There were plenty of boats there the day we rented it and they are lined up for you to pick at The Lake Mead Marina. We like the previous person are not boaters, but it was easy to drive. We rented a pontoon boat and there were 8 of us and we had plenty of room, it cost around 250, plus gas.. We then went to casino Monte Logo, which is also a little different, they have live jazz there on some days on the grass by the lake. It really did not seem like Vegas out there but I loved it. We rented the 20%26#39; Four winns. There were only two of us and it was fine. It was a small powerboat. A pontoon boat would be fine too if you don%26#39;t want to go as fast. We picked up a cheap cooler on the way and filled it with drinks and snacks. Jumping in the lake and swimming in the cool water in that August heat was great. The wind kicked up when it was time to take the boat back and the waves on the lake were pretty big! It will be a great time!

What is the name of the nearest rental marina to Vegas? Sorry for all the questions. First timer coming from UK. We%26#39;re doing 11 nights so definately want some non strip time to chill out on honeymoon.

Lake Mead Marina is definitely the closest and easiest to find. Definitely head up the lake and go through the narrows...well worth it...

We%26#39;re going to LV in July and my husband and son would like to do some swimming on Lake Mead. Can anyone give me some info on where to go? Also, how are those sightseeing cruise boats at the Marina? Thanks, Amy
