So what%26#39;s to become of Las Vegas? All these condominiums going up. Is this the new trend? The strip is crowded and busy enough as it is without having thousands of people living on it. They%26#39;re tearing down reasonably priced properties like the Stardust and Boardwalk to put up condominium projects. If this trend keeps up the strip will be just for the rich. Look at the Wynn. Beautiful hotel and casino but you have to be wealthy to stay there. They%26#39;ll keep $200 per night places like Ceaser%26#39;s Palace and Belagio and the rest will be condo. No more hotels for the middle class.
The LV strip should be to visit - not to live on. The strip as we know it will be no more if it%26#39;s gonna be filled with condos.
If I%26#39;m way off on this projection, please set me straight. I hope big time I%26#39;m wrong.
Condos on the stripthe builders go with the changes in the market. as visitors to vegas become more into luxury properties, the prices will go up. BUT, that doesnt mean that there wont be a place for the middle class person to stay. afterall, las vegas was built on middle class gamblers. you just will still have several choices left, just not as many as before. i think that harrahs will consider redoing some of their properties to market to the middle market. you also have some locals casinos. interesting topic any more ideas???
