What%26#39;s the pool like? Indoors? Outdoors? Is it crawling with kids? (I hope not, but from reading reviews of this hotel, I%26#39;m guessing it would be?) BF and I are arriving on Sunday.
Also, are you allowed to go to other hotels%26#39; pools even if you%26#39;re not staying there?
Excalibur Pool
Excalibur has a very large outdoor pool, not very deep. It really is somewhat pretty, with a landscaped ';island'; in the center that has a fake waterfall, plants, rocks, etc. It has been a while since we stayed there, but I haven%26#39;t seen any posts of major alterations. Since school just let out for the summer in some places there will be kids, but maybe not as bad as July, for instance. Most pools require a room key to use their pool, but this is generally enforced on a hit or miss basis.
Excalibur Pool
Ah.. Old Yeller, where the pool is as golden as the setting sun.
You are not supposed to go to other resorts to use their pools. Luxor will check your room key and so will MB. Ex does have a lot of kids in the pool.
Ditto on Old Yeller. I wouldn%26#39;t be caught dead in it.
If you%26#39;re going to the excalibur for its pool than dont go. Their pool is nothing to brag about, but if you%26#39;re like me, I could care less! The mirage pool is nice.
I am headed to the Excalibur for the second year in a row and although the more shaded side with the slides is packed with kids, the larger side on the other side of the divider island is mostly adults. We were there during record breaking temperatures last July and the adult side never seemed packed like the kid%26#39;s side.
There are better pools in Vegas, no doubt, but since we stay for a kid%26#39;s theme the pool suits us fine.
They do have a no pee section.
