we are going to ballys vegas, have heard so much about north tower being better, but view at south tower is superior. can anyone tell me if the south tower is that bad?
ballys, north or south tower?
Just got back from a stay at Bally%26#39;s South Tower. No it is not that bad. The room is worn, furniture a bit dated, but very clean. We had 3 in the room and we had plently of space. Maid service was good, they had cleaned the rooms when we were out each day. The bathroom was larger than some of the other hotels I have stayed at in Vegas, but nothing special. Hallways looked quite drab and I was concerned, but the room was fine. South Tower is easier access to the strip but not to the pool.
ballys, north or south tower?
whocares...whycare about the view? Unless you%26#39;re planning on spending hours by the window looking out, why sacrifice your comfort? Do yourself a favor and ask for a North tower room...Besides, what if ou get a room with a view facing west? Then you%26#39;ll have a nice view of the rooftop of the casino...Bet you didn%26#39;t think of that did ya? ;)
I stayed in th North Tower based on this forum. I didn%26#39;t think it was any different from any other room. Plus it was overlooking the roof on the North side AND it was a hell of a long walk to get to your room. All in all, I would not stay there again.
pattyp1, have you ever STAYED in a south tower room at Bally%26#39;s? If you didn%26#39;t notice a difference, then you need glasses...
ok tomvegas....
Yes, I did In fact, the reason for my not wanting to stay at Bally%26#39;s again is...I booked 6 weeks in advance. My flight from Boston doesn%26#39;t get in till 11:30 PM. 2:20 Vegas time. I am tired from the long trip and in my 60%26#39;s. Alone....I requested the N. Tower when I booked. When I arrived....no room is available in that tower. Ami I p.......off? Sure am. So, they put me up in the S. Tower in a suite until Monday. Then I had to change rooms which was not available until 2 by the time it was ready. took a whole day out of my trip. Staying in the suite was nice but by the time I got in there, it was lkie4:00a.m Boston time. Did not have time to enjoy it anyway. So, that%26#39;s my story.
thanks pattyp, have stayed at harrahs but not ballys so did%26#39;nt know what to expect. not going to be in the room that much, just wanting nice clean place. appreciate the info.
Whocares...
Hope you have a great time and good luck!
I have only stayed in north tower rooms at bally%26#39;s and have never had a complaint but I don%26#39;t care about the view either. If you go to the hotel reviews on this site and look up Bally%26#39;s, on the left side of the page there are pictures posted by people comparing the south and north tower rooms. There is quite a difference. May want to check those out and then decide if view is worth it. Bally%26#39;s is a small hotel and it is not a far walk to either tower rooms as compared to larger hotels on the strip. It is however quite the walk to the pool through the casino and then through the mall area if that is important to you.
I just got back from Bally%26#39;s yesterday. We stayed in the South tower. We had to change rooms once because the first room smelled really bad, very musty/moldy. The first room was 7205 (the 22nd floor), our second room was 7221, which was much better. The lady at the front desk told us if you want a really good view, to ask for a room on a high floor, and it should be a room number that ends higher than 13. So our first room didn%26#39;t have a great view because it ended 05, but our second room had a great view that was right over the Eiffel Tower and a partial view of the Bellagio fountains. The room was large and the decor was fine, just slightly dated, but in good condition. I%26#39;m not sure why the first room smelled so bad, but it was right next to a service area, right off the elevators, so it just wasn%26#39;t ideal to begin with. I asked the lady at the front desk about the North tower rooms, and she did say they are better renovated than the South tower, so it is just a personal preference. One other thing, the South tower is a much shorter walk to the strip, but much further from the pool than the North tower. Hope this helps!
