In regards to trying to see if you can get a room upgrade (Caesars in my case), are the chances to succeed the same at the airport check in as it would be at the hotel??

Help! Hotel Room Upgrade question....
Yes! In February I had 5 nights comped in the Centurion Tower (lowest level) and was upgraded to the Augustus Tower at the airport. I simply made nice-nice with the registration clerk and asked sweetly. She had to call someone at the hotel, because she was only authorized to upgrade one level to the Palace Tower (which would have been fine). AFTER she told me she had arranged the upgrade, I tipped her $20.

I%26#39;ve heard it both ways. I really think it all depends on the individual that you get to check you in and on circumstances plus availability of the upgrade rooms. It helps immensely to be courteous and smile when you talk to the agent that checks you in.
