Mirage Code
We have aug. 16th 159.00, 17th 139.00, 18th 219.00 . booked expedia.com We have yet to see when a code made that much of a difference. Does everyone book right on the hotels site or via travel.coms?? I guess it doesn%26#39;t matter now. :) But was just trying to figure out what the big deal is with these codes.
Well Bouldercouple in your case the difference is $130 , plus searcyone can take advantage of any lower rates that come up, plus will have a better chance of an upgrade or at least a room with a view.Booking with a travel site means your rates are locked in ,you cannot cancel without penalty, you have to pay upfront, you are bottom of the list for complimentary upgrades and rooms with a good view,That is why people prefer to book direct with a hotel.
Boulder,
Yes, these codes make a huge difference. But you have to book through the hotels website in order to use them. As the previous poster said, you would have saved $130.
Any time limit on code use?
thanks

Usually they have a select number of rooms until they run out. I had previous reservations and have called 2x%26#39;s to change it. My price went from originally about one thousand something dollars and am now down to $633.00 for five nights!
booked for 28th aug saved $150
thanks a lot
returning to vegas on 28th oct any more codes
kind regards
firsttimer...good answer to BC40. I ran their dates too, and yes, that is the difference. BC40, I%26#39;m staying at Bellagio for very little over what your rates are at mirage. AND, if I see my rates go down, I can grab that lower rate, where you cannot. What I%26#39;d like you (or anyone) to tell me is, where is the advantage to booking with a site such as expedia, over the hotel direct? I%26#39;ve run those sites too, and have never once been disappointed that I went with the hotel direct. Also, if I WERE to find a huge price difference on one of those sites, I can cancel with the hotel (with no fee attached) and grab that rate...altho I would never do this.
Sorry if this came across rude in anyway. I truly don%26#39;t mean it to be, but sometimes with impersonal type, you cannot decipher the emotion behind it! :)
No, no, I don%26#39;t think anyone is rude at all. Does it matter that we have a premium room? Is there a difference at the Mirage in regular rooms and premium rooms? I guess I can eat the 130.00 over we paid if the room is better.
The confirmation says
Hotel: 2 adults Premium View Room 8/16: $159.00 per night
8/17: $139.00 per night
8/18: $219.00 per night
and then we added two round trip transfers for total 34.00 $
It%26#39;s done now, but I have a feeling BF (first timer) will love it and we%26#39;ll be back, so next time i%26#39;ll book on line like you guys. :) I%26#39;m excited either way..... :)
Good, I%26#39;m glad I didn%26#39;t offend, since that was not my intent.
I%26#39;ve never stayed at Mirage before. We WERE going to stay there (still have the reservations, just in case), but got an excellent rate for Bellagio, so we%26#39;re staying there now. Anyway, I think the premium room is the same as deluxe, except the premium room has a view, where deluxe doesn%26#39;t. However, I won%26#39;t swear to this, since (as stated) I%26#39;ve never stayed there.
Either way, you SHOULD be excited...you%26#39;re going to VEGAS, and staying at Mirage!!!!! That is definitely something to be excited about. In using the code, the rates would have been the same ($130 less than what you paid), and the upgrade to a premium view room was included in that price.
I still don%26#39;t understand what the plus is with going with Expedia or any of those. Again, not trying to insult at all, I%26#39;m just curious why you would go with them, when the rates thru the hotel are so good. Maybe it%26#39;s a package deal with air fare that%26#39;s really good? Again, just curious.
Have a great time and WIN BIG!!!!
