Outdoor Fight at Caesar's

Hello all,

Just bought tix to the fight June 24th at Caesar%26#39;s. Anyone ever been to a fight at the ';Open Air Roman Amphitheater';? Curious to know the size of the location and if the area is covered somewhat, as I find it hard to beleive that the fighters could go at it in that heat.

Thanks!

Well I haven%26#39;t been to anything there, but my wife and I walked by the Open Air Roman Amphitheather on the way into the main entrance of Caesar%26#39;s. It was too the left of the entrance. It seemed like a decent size amphitheatre. Square shaped. However, didn%26#39;t see any covering, so I would assume the fights would be in the evening/night.

I can barely walk in vegas for the time it takes to fight a round in June. Even if no punches are thrown, it%26#39;ll be a ';who passes out first'; contest with a TKO. It%26#39;s the ';thrilla in Manilla'; all over again.

The fight ';starts'; at 4:30, so by the time the main event is on stage it would be around 6:30. The two last fighters are heavyweights in the 230 pound range - after the fight they might fit into size 28 jeans......

should be a good fight-conditioning will play a big factor, especially with the big boys.

I didn%26#39;t put 2 and 2 together..

this is the Brock/Ibragimov fight...

Although the big Uzbeckistani (I think that%26#39;s what he is) is a little slower, and had his Olympic spotlight in 1996 (as compared to Brock in 2000), I think he hits harder. Unless Brock has signifigantly improved his defense, I would look for the big druid to take him out with a KO. With that said, if it goes into late rounds, I like Brock%26#39;s conditioning. If I had to lay a bet, I would take Ibragimov with a KO about round 3-4. It%26#39;s the biggest stage Ibragimov has had yet, so he will be looking to make an impact (no pun intended) to get some more high profile fights.

I agree...My money is on Ibragimov. I%26#39;ll be there that weekend...I heard there are still a lot of seats available...Not even close to a sellout yet...

Now the Tarver Hopkins fight on 6/10 sounds a lot more interesting. I%26#39;ll be watchin that one on HBO.
