sunday may 28
- arrive mccarran airport, get rental car, baggage came extremely quick for some reason, fiance waited in line for airport check in with wedding dress in hand for 20 some mins.
this paid off extemely well...got augustus tower 43rd floor facing the pools. 20 mins later and 20 dollar tip spent we take rental minivan towards the strip...
after 2 hrs (traffic was rediculous) we make it to hotel to check in. dinner at burger king! then fiance off to celine dion while i play double bonus? video poker for 2.5 hrs. 70.00 richer and 4 long island ice teas down we decide to go to bed.
augustus tower room is awesome, huge bathroom, all amenities except dvd player. i think burger king made me sick.
stephanie at airport check in was really nice...she even sent us some gifts since we were getting married to our room.
monday may 29 -
spend morning going to get marraige liscense and pick up tuxedos.
dinner at hugos cellar was amazing. dont get appetizers...because you get a ton of food.. had portabellas stuffed with crab meat and filet mignon with shrimp for dinner, wifey had lobster stuffed filet mignon i think. tableside salad cart was very tasty. free tiramisu. 120.00 for everything
off to the light show at freemont st.... was very ghey... the lights on the surrounding hotels were more enjoyable. 20.00 cab ride home to caesars.
tuesday may 30 -
out of bed early, 8am to caesars pool for 8.00 memosas. pool was very nice and not crowded.. very little shade...but who wants that anyway. their loungechairs are very comfy and 2 times the size of flamingos.
lunch at margaritaville ... got the loaded nachos which were very very good. took 3 of us to put a dent in them.
spent the evening walking thru the venetian.
evening - pure nightclub . probably the worst thing of the trip
club supposed to open at 10...we get there at like 9.... no one in line....come back around 930...and there are like 50 people herded into a big pile which was supposed to resemble the vip line. waited in line til about 11 when we got in.... sausage everywhere, along with old people trying to dance to techno and rap, and some hoochies. somehow everyone inside must have missed the appropriate dress sign because everyone was wearing jeans, sandals and reminded me more of a psu frat party.
about 1 hr into the madness and a few 7.50 miller light drafts we decide to call it a night.
TR - caesars, wedding, flamingo, hoover dam, VoF PART UNOSorry Pure was sooooo bad for you. We had a blast there and we hardly had to wait in line at 11pm. I think we had VIP. Seems like you guys ate alot. I don%26#39;t remember eating so much!

This is an excellent example of why I hate pretty much everything about the ';New'; Vegas...
i should have said she sent us some nice gifts to our room since we were getting married at one of their properties.
pure was pure trash. from the reviews it sounded like one of the best clubs in vegas. maybe it was just because we went on a tuesday night?
