I have been to Vegas many times and I am trying arrange a girl friends gathering at Vegas in October. I am looking for a reasonable priced at least 3 stars hotel to stay in.
I have checked with The Carriage House since they have bedroom suite that can accomodate 6 people (we have 5 people in our party). The price is really good , it is about $185+ 9% tax per night. They said there will be kitchen and microwaves in the room. I was trying to book the room now but the problem is they said they cannot let people reservate the ';suite'; until one month before the arrive date. They basically reserve all the suites for heir ';timeshare';customers.
If the suites are not filled, they will let the public book it.
I am worry that they might not have anything available by that time. Do you have any suggestions for other hotels that have similar price and quality?
Do you think I can book with other places and cancel the room a month before my arrival?
Any information will be appreciated.
5 Girlfriends trip to Vegas, wonder where to stay?Stay on the strip.

';Do you have any suggestions?';
First, stay the hell away from ANY Vegas hotel that won%26#39;t commit to a room you are willing to reserve. I would not even CONSIDER the place you mentioned for a SECOND.
For your needs, Residence Inn would be a GREAT choice. Check out the rates on their one and two-bedroom suites. Otherwise, 3 rooms at Orleans would probably cost in the range of $150-$200 total and I just stayed there and it was JUST FINE.
You might try Hilton Grand Vacations Club LV strip-at the Flamingo. It gets great reviews, would be central and use of Flamingo pool.
Ooops, should have read Hilton Grand Vacations at the Flamingo. The one ';on the strip'; is near the Sahara.
I agree...stay on the strip! We are (8 girls) going June 23-27 and staying at Caesars. they have a deal called ';same rate guarantee'; and we are only paying $612 each room (taxes included) for 4 nights. OR try Priceline. I%26#39;ve used that in the past and stayed at the Westin for $220 for 3 nights. Stay on the strip though...it will make going to dinner, shows, clubs, etc much easier. Plus, dividing it 5 ways should be pretty cheap.
I would book NYNY in a heart beat. Fun Fun atmosphere!!!!!!
TI has a young atmosphere and decent rooms, but the pool is a joke.
MGM Grand and Flamingo both have amazing pool areas and big rooms (Flamingo%26#39;s are a bit older) but the age group can tend towards the older crowd (especially Flamingo).
NYNY also has a younger atmosphere, but once again - pool is a joke and the rooms are small.
Mandalay Bay has nice rooms, awesome pool, young atmosphere - but its at the arse end of the strip and can be pricey.
Hard Rock and Palms also have a very young vibe and hoppin%26#39; pools, but are also off strip and that can be a hassle when trying to get home after shuttle time.
If you want a nice pool and money isn%26#39;t a huge issue, I%26#39;d go with Mandalay Bay, or MGM if money is an issue. If you don%26#39;t care about the pool, I%26#39;d go with TI over NYNY simply because I don%26#39;t like the rooms in NYNY.
If you want to stay in the same suite, you might also check out the Jockey Club (which is next to Bellagio) or St. Tropez All Suite Hotel (which is across the street from the Hard Rock Cafe).
Like staunchsteve says, don%26#39;t waste your time on any place that won%26#39;t guarantee your reservation. That%26#39;s nuts in a town with so many alternatives.
My husband and I have been going to vegas every year for 5 years. We are in our late 20s so all of that time has been in our 20s. We along with all of our friends really like NYNY. Someone posted something about the pool being a joke-very true. If you are going to lay out and spend alot of time at the pool you want to look at Mandalay Bay. If the pool is not a concern here is what you need to know:
NYNY: young crowd, pretty good nightlife, reasonable rates, great location!
The monorail is just across the walkway at MGM and from there you can ride the whole strip. Check out the nightlife at both NYNY (Coyote Ugly, Piano Bar) and MGM (Studio 54). If you want to have a blast head to the Palms and the Rio (the Voodoo lounge at the top of the Rio is really cool).
Good luck and have fun!
stayed at the new Marriott Grand Chateau with 6 girlfriends right when it opened and we loved it. They are condos, so they have kitchens and we could make breakfast when we got up really late and mix our own drinks very comfortable and only 1/2 block off strip near aladdin. Only drawback was the pool-more of a tub on the roof. We wanted to be together since we only see each other once a year and as most hotels won%26#39;t commit that rooms will be near each other and could be a trek. We had a two bedroom unit with a king and two queens.
