best hotel...etc....

We%26#39;re (me, wife, 4 yr old) flying to Vegas around July 5 - 8, staying for a few days then driving to California.

Which hotels would be recommended, not recommended..restaraunts, attractions..etc..

Best car rental place, best buffet...etc..?

Obviously we%26#39;ve never been to Vegas before and we wont be gambling.

Thanks to all.

Dave

best hotel...etc....

Orleans or Circus Circus.

best hotel...etc....

A suite at the Luxor would be a good choice

For hotel i would recomend.

Excalibure (very kid friendly) and great rates

Flamingo - also great rates and location

Buffets

Aladdin- spice market

Bellagio- The Buffet

Mirage- Carvings

Paris (i forgot the name)

Those are the top buffets in las vegas great food and great atmospher!!!

Car rental would be dollar -Great deals and right on the strip..well actually they are in a few hotels

What shows

Lance Burton at Monte Carlo- Migician

Wonderful show kids will love it and your looking at $65 per person and in Vegas that a great deal for a show

I hope this help im going the same weekend let me know if you need anymore tips

Eww silly how could you send ANYONE to that dump Circus Circus? Worst reviews in TA.

Go for the flamingo. Best end of the strip! And the best pool for kids (lots of guards). Have fun!

Dave....First lets address what you want to see being it is your first time. You are not a gambler and with a 4 yr old, then I would assume you want to experience the Strip. Pyramids, Paris, NYNY, Castle, Monte Carlo, Venice, Belligio, pirate ship battle and all that stuff.

Excal will have the best arcade for a 4 yr old, but it is not my recommendation to stay there. MGM has a great pool area with the area with the water falls is the only kid frindly pool. Luxor has a great arcade area and an IMAX. The Orleans is kid frindly and liitle off the strip. Lots of quicktype food places also and movie theater.Luxor at the end of strip but it has peole mover to Excal and then you can cross to MGM for the mono-rail that can take you all the way to the Hilton.(it says you can go to Sahara and others but once you get to Hilton, it is a haul without a child back to the strip to see that end!)

Be ready, a stroller in vegas is a must with a tired and hot child, but they are killers to the others around you. You will be exhausted trying to see every thing and a few people may comment on the stroller. It will be hot, hot and hot! There is the trolley that takes you on the strip to everywhere, but very crowed.(same with public transpotation)

Car rentals in most hotels and rent when you need it because getting around vegas for the first time gets your blood pressure up. After you learn the back roads it%26#39;s not bad.

Great buffet, Paris. Great selection, Aladdin%26#39;s Spice buffett.

Shows for kids: free ones at Excal(minstrials and magic). V the varity show @ Aladdin is good for all ages. And yes I hate to say it, the Circus Circus is kiddie land. It is at the ';Opposite'; end of the strip.

Bottomline: If you waht a nice room for $89 do the Luxor and travel this end. I would recommend the middle strip Mirage, TI, Flamingo area. Thsi way you are close to home when you know who gets a little tired and mom and the kid have to take Dave back to the room for a nap!

Best car....www.dollar.com

Best buffet..Mandalay Bay, Aladdin, Paris, maybe Rio, MGM,and Mirage, and the top-luxury hotels buffet

-avoid Monte Carlo buffet

Best reasonable hotels Luxor$$, Monte Carlo$$,NYNY$$, MGM$$$

Aladdin $$-$$$, TI $$, Mandalay Bay $$$-$$$$, Ballys$$

';maybes'; Flamingo, Harrahs $$

Top luxury/prices Bellagio, Wynn, Venetian

in between the above...Classic, classy, well located, prices sometimes high..Caesars Palace, Mirage

Must to Avoid staying at!!!

Excalibur, Riviera, Imperial Palace, Stardust,Sahara, Stratosphere, any off-strip (except Rio), Tropicana , frontier, any ';3'; star

Vegashomeboy must not like you...those are the opposite of class
