My wife and I are Staying at tahoe seasons resort for a week in July and thought about bringing our own kayaks. Storage is somewhat of a hassle because of inside parking. Also we know nothing about lake access, good areas to tour, possible shuttle services available, waterproof maps etc. Were new at this and would love some feedback. Thanks!
Should we BYO Kayaks to tour the lake?
Tahoe Seasons is at the top of Ski Run Blvd just across the road from the original Heavenly Gondola. If you feel parking underground would be too difficult withthe kayaks on the roof I%26#39;m pretty sure that in the summer you can park in the Heavenly parking lot across the road.
I would take my kayaks to DL Bliss and launch there. The Rubicon area is really quite pretty and mostly not accesible to non residents of that community. You mostly have to see the view from the lake. You can paddle to Emerald Bay from here too and the lake is pretty calm on the west side. One down side is that DL Bliss has such limited parking that they fill up early so you need to get an early start.
There is a company htat will pick you up and drop off for a fee here%26#39;s a link:

Here%26#39;s a link to kayaking on the east side:
