Shuttlebus from Strip to Freemont St. at Night

Hi,

I heard the shuttlebus from the strip stops outside Freemont St. We are going to stay on Freemont St. and want to go see the strip, probably will not return until nighttime. Is it safe to walk from the shuttlebus stop to Freemont St.?

We had no problems in late March doing that very thing, even stopped at a 24 hr. Walgreens for some soda about 1:30am, on a weekday. Everything was pretty deserted, empty bus back to the strip too. Everything is so well lit, I didn%26#39;t feel uncomfortable.

Have fun.

We want to stay downtown next time too. Way less walking and there is plenty of gambling there for me.

Was there end of April. Also stayed on Freemont. Took bus to strip and back. Got back after 1am and had no problems walking back to hotel (Binions). It%26#39;s very well lit up and there are still people walking around. Have a great trip!!

Is this the ';deuce'; bus that you are referring to as the ';shuttle';? Or, does the hotel provide it? We are staying at the Flamingo, but plan on spending Friday night downtown and are looking for an inexpensive ride back to the strip. Would this work, and does it drop off at the Flamingo? Thanks

We rode the Deuce bus $2 a ride, or $5 for 24 hr. It is a bargain but can be very full at late afternoons and just after lunch. Late at night there were maybe 15 people on it. Summer tourist time is probably a lot more crowded though.
