Taxi on the strip?

I have a few hours layover in Las Vegas, and am planning to walk around the strip. How easy is it to catch a cab back to the airport. Do you catch them at the hotels? As well, How long of a cab ride will this be to and from the airport from say, Treasure Island?

Taxi on the strip?

It all depends on the time of day/night. Sometimes you don%26#39;t have to wait at all while others, you do! Sorry, I know this doesn%26#39;t help!

You can get a cab at any hotel (you can%26#39;t flag a cab on the strip) - how easy depends on the time of day - if its dinner time or the hotel%26#39;s main show just got out you may have a wait - cab from TI to strip would be about 20 minutes (taking the back roads)

Thanks for the information! I plan to be on the strip from 9am and 12 pm, so it is a short visit. However I am assuming that this is not a prime time for taxi business? You mentioned the back roads? would the strip be faster, or should i ask to go on these back roads?

Between 9am %26amp; 12pm can be a busy time for cabs. The majority of people check out of hotels between 9-11am and a lot of them need cabs to the airport. Just depends how busy that particular day is. Impossible to predict exactly.

Unless it%26#39;s a very short hop down the Strip, always take back streets.

YOUR big problem may be the waiting line for a cab at the airport

Estimate 45 minutes from de bark, to Treasure island-- no crowd at cab stand.

That can go to 90 minutes if cab line is loooong.

Allow 1 hour from TI back to airport and thru security.
