1) The Luxor
2) MGM
3) New York, New York
4) The Flamingo
5) Ballys
6) The Mirage
or do I bite the bullet and book the Golden Nugget downtown? My only concern with the Golden Nugget is how difficult is it to get transport to and from the strip at various times of the day/night?
Once again, thanks for your advice.

Which of these Hotels?
I am actually sitting in the Mirage right now, VV.
I would go with MGM or The Mirage, but I have never
stayed at the Luxor.
I like the Mirage b/c it is centrally located and a decent price for a good room. My room at the MGM was gorgeous a few years back,
floor to ceiling windows and just a sharp %26amp; smart room, but MGM is allllllll the way at the end. That is the drawback. So far down that your ';neighborhood'; of casinos are Luxor, Excalibur (blah), Tropicana (kinda blah), etc....
The Flamingo, although classic and also centrally located is just not my fav. place to gamble. Large rooms though and last I remember, great service.
Which of these Hotels?
I would pick Mirage 1st best location, best pool and good food. Luxor, MGM, NY NY are not as central. Flamingo and Ballys both have a good location but hotels are a little dated. Mirage is the best of both worlds. Golden Nugget is out of the question unless you enjoy downtown over the strip.
I%26#39;d go with Mirage.
I never thought MGM was that bad of a location. Now Mandalay Bay, THAT%26#39;S way at the end. I think MGM is probably the nicest, but barely, over the Mirage. If you want cheap gambling and only want to walk the strip a time or two, then defintely go to the Nugget It%26#39;s by far the nicest place downtown.
I would go Flamingo first, Ballys second for a number of reasons. Flamingo is on the best corner of the strip right in the middle across from Caesars and Bellagio. You will also get a good price. Flamingo also happens to have one of the best pool areas in Vegas. Ballys for the same reasons except the pool. Central strip is important to me because I like to walk around. You can go north one day and south the next. And your dining options with Paris, Bellagio, Caesars, Forum Shops, Alladin, Venetian and others all within walking distance, are the best.
Definately go with the Mirage. The location is perfect, the rooms are nice and clean and the pool is awesome. We stayed there before and had a wonderful time there.
Forget down town
from best to less good of those;
Mirage, MGM, Luxor, NY,Ballys-flamingo(tie)
Location, location, location.......Mirage by far!
